1. why did people build castles?
castles were built to provide safety and protection from there enemies.

2. where they built?
a castle is often built on a hilltop or it is surrounded by water.

3. why don't we live in castles today?
because it is not comfortable. And wind whistles through windows and some people slept on rough mattresses on benches.
