1 Why did people build castles? So they can protect the king and queen.

Also to protect the people that live in the castle as well.

It makes it harder to attack the king and queen.

2 Where were they built? They built them on a rocky outcrop.

They also built them on gaps on hills, also were built on borders of land.

Lastly they were built near rivers and seas.

3 Why don`t we live in castles today? Because the times have changed and theres no one to

acttack us. Also there are not many kings and queens around.
